The Voices of Children Charitable Foundation
The Ukrainian-based Voices of Children Charitable Foundation was officially established in 2019 by human rights activist Olena Rozvadovska and journalist Azad Safarov. Prior to that, the Foundation's team worked as volunteers and since 2015 had been organizing psychological support for children affected by combat operations. Their mission is simple: No child should be left alone with the experience of war.
The Voices of Children Charitable Foundation provides psychological assistance and personalized humanitarian support to families, works with communities and institutions for children throughout Ukraine In the following areas:
● psychosocial support;
● humanitarian aid;
● advocacy for children's rights.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine in 2022, the Foundation has significantly intensified its activities and has provided 42 300 children and their parents with qualified psychological assistance and humanitarian aid.
The Foundation provides online assistance via a psychological hotline and a chatbot and currently operates in ninelocations in Ukraine: Kyiv, Lviv, Truskavets, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Berehove, Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv and surrounding region.
More than 60 psychologists, psychiatrists, and psychotherapists are working to ensure that Ukrainian children do not lose their childhood and smiles. For their work, the Voices of Children received an early membership in Eurochild, the leading organization for the protection of children's rights. The hsa been recognized by the world media – BBC, CNN and others, as well as by celebrities such as Madonna and Oprah Winfrey.
